In the opinion of the inventor and a number of relevantly experienced physicists and machine constructors, it is clear from the Main Application dated 24 July 1982 and the additional applications dated 25 August 1982 and 1 September 1982 that the novel rotary piston machine offers such impressive advantages in comparison with all the systems which have already become known, not least including the WANKEL rotary piston engine, that it will be the first rotary piston machine which will be able to be considerably superior to even the most modern reciprocating piston machines in virtually all criteria. This prognosis applies to all the performance regions from aircraft model and ship model drives to multi-housing large machines with a maximum power of approximately 6000 kW. The extremely low weight per unit power means that it is expected to be possible to break into the field of relatively small to medium-size aircraft drives, which have been the province of gas turbine engines for years. An application in military land vehicles or water vehicles promises to be highly successful and initial discussions so far with the Federal Ministry of Defence have proved positive. The simple method of construction, which is easy to understand even by a layman having technical understanding, necessarily leads to highly favourable production and maintenance costs, which also makes the subject-matter of the invention interesting for developing countries.
