发明名称 FLUID CONTROL VALVE
摘要 PURPOSE:To form the shape of a fluid control valve in a small size and decrease its weight further faciltate its control, by moving a valve body to be controlled using a shape memory metal, deformed by heat of pulse electrification, as an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A communication passage between both inflow and outflow ports 14, 15 is disconnected by the bottom end of a valve body 12. One end of a shape memory metal 20 is connected to a part of a rod 17 protruding to the outside from the upper end of the valve body 12, and the other end is connected to a valve housing 11, being electrically insulated. The shape memory metal 20, both ends of which are connected to a pulse power supply 23, is heated by electrification of a pulse current, and a deformation amount of the shape memory metal 20 is changed by varying the ratio of an electrifying time to no-electrifying time, thus a flow of fluid is regulated by the displacement of the valve body 12 against the pressing force of a spring 16. The shape memory metal, being shaped in a small size but capable of generating large force, can form a valve in a small size as compared with the control valve utilizing an electromagnet.
