An article of protective clothing has a waist part which can be opened at the front, along an upper connecting line, at two upper edge parts which can be connected to each other. This connecting line extends from the neck opening of the article of clothing to a branching part, from which, in a first embodiment, two leg parts start. The two leg parts of the article of clothing can be opened along two lower connecting lines which extend from one or the other lower edge part of the leg part and upwards at least to the branching part. In the opened state of the article of clothing, the lower connecting lines form two outer edge parts which, at the top, make a transition into the two upper edge parts, and two inner edge parts, which extend at least as far as the branching part. One outer and one inner edge part form, in the assembled state, one lower connecting line. The other outer and inner edge parts form the second lower connecting line. As a result, the entire article of clothing can be opened from the neck opening and downwards to the lower edge part of each leg part. |
