<p>PURPOSE:To improve machining efficiency of the main casing of a hydraulic pump by a method wherein a workpiece material formed by extruding an aluuminum alloy member is cut to an adequate length and then its both end surfaces and inner surface are subjected to cutting process. CONSTITUTION:A main body case 1 is provided with a pump chamber 3 passing therethrough, and a driving gear 5 engages with a driven gear 7 in the pump chamber 3. The main body case 1 is constructed such that heated and softened aluminum alloy material is pressed and extruded through a dies, thus molded material is cut to an adequate length and its both end surfaces and inner diameter surface are subjected to cutting process. Due to this cutting or machining operation, the cutting volume of the main body case is reduced and machining efficiency is improved.</p> |
