PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of a toner image formation body from rising by providing a recessed part which does not contact an intermediate transfer body to a nonpicture part of the toner image formation body. CONSTITUTION:The toner image formation body 1 is provided with the recessed part 1A whose center part does not contact the intermedite transfer body 6 except on both edge sides at the nonpicture part of the circumferential surface where no toner image is formed. When the recessed part 1A of the toner image formation body 1 comes to the position where the intermediate transfer body 6 is pressed, the toner image formation body 1 and intermediate transfer body 6 are rotated or inhibited from rotating. Therefore, the surface of the intermediate transfer body 6 to which the toner image is transferred does not contact the toner image formation body 1 in said state, so even if the intermediate transfer body 6 is roll-shape and heated by a heat source 6A, the toner image formation body 1 is never heated by the intermediate transfer body 6. |
