PURPOSE:To obtain a heat pipe which can freely be bent and be fitted to any place in narrow space, by constituting a heat pipe of a flexible bellows pipe, filaments, and spring coils. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 10 is provided with a number of metallic or plastic filaments 18, annularly bundled in the longitudinal direction along the inner surface of a bellows pipe 12. The bundle of filaments 18 is pressed against the pipe 12 from its inside by the tension of spring coils 20 and is held between the spring coils 20 and the bellows pipe 12. A projected part 14b is provided to the outer surface of an end plate 14 of one heat pipe, while the outer surface of an end plate 14' of the other heat pipe is provided with a recess part 14'b. The inside of the bellows pipe 12 is vacuumized, and heating medium 22 of low boiling point is put into the pipe. When heat is absorbed on the side of an end plate 14', the heating medium 22 is evaporated and quickly reaches the side of an end plate 14, where the heating medium 22 is dew-condensated and quickly returns to the end plate 14' by a capillarly action, passing through the filaments 18. |
