PURPOSE:To restrict the amount of molten metal dragged out in excess by spraying a hot dipping bath on a layer formed on the surface of a material by hot dipping before solidifying the metal so as to apply dynamic pressure. CONSTITUTION:A material to be treated such as a steel strip 1 is dipped in a molten metallic bath 3 in a hot dipping vessel 2 to hot dip the surfaces of the strip 1. The bath 3 is then sprayed on the surfaces of the strip 1 from spray nozzles 10, 11 placed above the surface 7 of the bath 3. By spraying the bath 3, dynamic pressure is applied to layers formed on the surfaces of the strip 1 by the hot dipping before solidifying the layers. The amount of molten metal dragged out in excess is restricted by the pressure. |
