PURPOSE:To eliminate deflecting abrasion by adjusting a pressing margin between two half-bodies forming an outer in such a manner that a draft is zero to prevent one-side contact of a clutch roller. CONSTITUTION:An outer 14' of an overrunning clutch comprises an outside half body 14'a and an inside half body 14'b. The outside half body 14'b is provided with a drive gear 13' formed on the outer periphery thereof. The inside half body 14'a of the outer 14' has a draft theta at the inner peripheral surface thereof. The suitable pressing margin between the inside half body 14'a and the outside half body 14'b is the value of about lXtantheta wherein l is a length obtain by subtracting the width of a bush 19 from the total width of the inside half body. Where such pressing margin adopted, draft theta is about zero at the time of assembling the inside half body and outside half body, so that a clutch roller 17 disposed between a spline tube 16 and the inside half body 14'a of the outer is kept from one-side contact, resulting in producing no deflecting abrasion. |
