<p>An amplifier comprises an amplifier circuit (4) for amplifying an input signal, and a supply voltage detector (5).</p><p>The supply voltage detector (5) has hysteresis characteristics as to a first threshold voltage (V<Sub>ccx</Sub>) and a second threshold voltage (V<Sub>cc</Sub>y) different from each other in order to detect magnitudes of a supply voltage (+V<Sub>cc</Sub>).</p><p>The amplifying operation of the amplifier circuit (4) is controlled to start and stop by an output signal of the supply voltage detector.</p> |
