PURPOSE:To prevent an absorber pipe from being oxidized by a method wherein a transparent tube is evacuated by using the absorber tube as an evacuating pipe and, after that, brazing material, which is set in a gap formed between the tip of the absorber pipe in the transparent tube and a cap fitted onto said tip, is melted by heating. CONSTITUTION:While being heated, a collector is evacuated through the one tip 8 of an absorber pipe 2 under the condition that a cap 7 fitted at the other tip of the absorber pipe 2 in the state that a gap is left between the cap 7 and said other tip in order to seal said tip air-tight with the cap 7 after the evacuation completes. The air-tight sealing is performed by melting brazing material such as phosphor copper solder, silver solder or the like, which is coated or set on the cap 7, by induction heating with a coil wound around a tube 1, in which high frequency waves of 100kHz-10MHz are flowed, in order to seal. In other words, the gap, which initially exists between the other tip of the absorber pipe 2 and the cap 7 so wide enough as to let gas pass therethrough, is completely sealed by brazing material after the induction heating. In addition, the inside of the absorber pipe also does not be oxidized, because the heating is performed under the state of near-vacuum. |
