<p>The masses consist of sulphur deposited onto a support chosen from alumina, silica and clay and exhibit a pore volume distribution according to the pore size such that: <IMAGE> &Lang&2C6&Rang& denoting the pore diameter and 2ROOT the volume of the pores which have a diameter included within the limits shown. The absorption masses according to the invention have the following characteristics: - a packed filling density (PFD) of between 0.45 and 0.90 g/cm<3>, - a pore volume (PV) of between 0.25 and 1.2 cm<3>/g and more particularly between 0.7 and 1.2 cm<3>/g, - a specific surface (SS) of between 50 and 500 m<2>/g, - a crushing strength (CS) of between 1 and 20 kg, - an attrition resistance (AR) higher than 85 %.e</p> |
