PURPOSE:To make easy mass production of a hollow body fixed with an outer ring by matching the positions of a recess formed on the inside surface of the outer ring and a small hole provided to a pipe, erecting a flange in the small hole by burring, and coupling securely the outer ring in the inside wall of the recess. CONSTITUTION:A small hole 2 is formed in the position of a pipe 1 where an outer ring 4 is to be mounted. A recess 5 of a U shape or the like is formed in a part of the inside surface of the ring 4 that contacts with the pipe 1. The positions of the recess 5 in the ring 4 and the hole 2 of the pipe 1 are matched and a tool bar provided with a punch 4 is inserted into the pipe 1 to press strongly the tip of the punch 8 to the position of the hole 2 of the pipe 1. The hole 2 is then subjected to burring and the flange 6 is strongly pressed to the inside wall of the recess 5, whereby the ring is securely coupled. The number of coupling is suitably selected according to need. |
