PURPOSE:To prevent the noise of a motor by mounting a place having a plurality of slits in a circumferential direction on a stationary portion between a cooling fan rotating integrally with a rotor and a stator at the prescribed distance from the stator. CONSTITUTION:A cooling fan 16 rotating integrally with a rotor 15 is provided at the prescribed distance from the coil 19 of a stator 12. A slit plate 20 having a plurality of slits in a circumferential direction is secured to a fan guide 17 between the coil 19 and the fan 16. The slit plate 20 may be formed integrally with the fan guide 17, and may be secured to out outer frame 13. The fan 16 is rotated so that cooling air flows in a direction of an arrow through the gap (a) between the stator 12 and the outer frame 23 and the gap (b) between the stator 12 and the rotor 15. The air stream is straightened at the outlets of the gaps (a), (b) via the slits to eliminate the vortex flow. In this manner, the level of the noise can be reduced. |
