PURPOSE:To form the titled vertical die clamper of low height, by arranging a die clamping cylinder, a piston, etc. beside a fuselage, and providing a controlling means for the retreating position of a die clamping plate at an upper stationary plate. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that the stationary member 16 of a die clamping plate 8 can be inserted into the rotary member 20 of a controlling mechanism 17, pressure oil is supplied to an oil chamber 3b by opening a prefill valve 4 to move a die clamping piston 3 upwards at a high speed. Hence, the die clamping plate 8 is raised to form a space for attaching a metal die between the die clamping plate 8 and a base disc 1. Thereafter, a metal die is provided therein, oil resistance in the oil chamber 3b is released, pressure oil is supplied to another oil chamber 3c, and die clamping is performed by lowering the die clamping plate 8 together with the piston 3. Thereafter, the rotary member 20 is rotated by a predetermined angle with a rotary actuator 22 to make the insertion of the stationary member 16 into said interior impossible, and then die clamping is performed by closing the prefill valve 4 and supplying pressure oil to an upper chamber 2a. |
