PURPOSE:To remove a metallic plate easily without spoiling working environment by melting the surrounding of weld zone of the metallic plate which is partially welded to a metallic member by arc heat generated by a hollow carbon electrode bar and then removing the plate. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 9 is attached to a holding device 12 provided on a supporting stand 13 allowing vertical movement, and a supporting body 8 is mounted while interposing a spring 11. A hollow carbon electrode bar 5 is screwed 6 to an electrode bar holder 4 of the supporting body, connected to positive pole of a power source 14 through a conductive terminal 7. The negative pole is connected to a metallic plate 1 welded partially to a metallic member 3 by a weld zone 2. In above-mentioned constitution, the electrode bar is brought into vertical contact with the metallic plate 1 enclosing the weld zone 2 and is electrically conducted. Then, the solenoid 9 is operated and the electric bar 5 is slightly separated, and an arc is generated to melt the surrounding of the weld zone 2. The solenoid is turned off, and the electrode bar 5 is dropped onto the metallic plate 1 by a energizing force of the spring 11. Molten parts are pushed out and the metallic plate 1 is released from the weld zone 2. |
