<p>Fermentation with bacteria of the genera Alcaligenes, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas or Enterobacter produces extracellular polysaccharides which are rich in rhamnose or fucose. These deoxysugars can, after acid hydrolysis of the polysaccharide, be isolated from the hydrolysate.</p> |
