A plant for separately packing poultry in bags, whereby the poultry bodies while conveyed separately are weighed, packed in bags and handed over to a delivery station, is compounded of three conveying systems having each their per se closed conveyor 1, 2 and 3. One conveyor system 1 comprises a weighing device 6 for weighing each single piece of poultry, the second conveying system 2 comprises apparatuses 10, 11 for selecting and conveying a bag from a number of bag hoppers adapted to each containing a store of bags having a declaration of weight corresponding to the weight of the particular piece of poultry detected at the weighing, and the third conveyor 3 is adapted to receive packed pieces of poultry and deliver these separately to pre-determined collecting means 16, corresponding to the previously detected weight of the particular piece of poultry. All three conveyors 1, 2 and 3 are configured as circulatory, endless transport means, which are all three over a part of their way 7, 12 and 15, respectively, placed adjacent to each other in inter-parallel tracks. Packing apparatuses 9 for putting the single pieces of poultry into each of their bags are placed in a group 8 side by side along said parts 7, 12 and 15 of the ways of the three conveyors 1, 2 and 3. By means of the plant, a well controlled packing of poultry bodies according to their specific weight is provided in a rational and space-saving way. <IMAGE>
