摘要 This switch operates by the alternate vertical displacement of movable rail segments (1 and 2). The vertical movement of these strips is brought about by hydraulic jacks placed in a leaktight casing located under a movable rail segment. In the high position, the movable segments allow the passage of the vehicle from one track to the other. In the low position, it leaves enough room for the flanges (13) of the wheels travelling along the rail to which these segments are not connected. In order to prevent derailment when a vehicle runs into the switch "on the heel" (wheels shown as dotted lines), these movable segments are each flanked with a counter-rail (15) capable of supporting and guiding on one side the flange of the wheel of the vehicle whose tyre is no longer supported by the movable segment in the low position. The fixed rails (1' and 2') are coupled, on the inside of the track, with a wheel-guide (16) capable of laterally guiding the flange of the wheel, opposite the movable segments (1 or 2). The advantage of the switch resides in the fact that it cannot be jammed by snow or ice. <IMAGE>
