<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a noiseless reproduced picture at the time of still picture reproduction and slow motion reproduction, by detecting the stopping position of a tape by utilizing a pilot signal recorded in a video track and controlling the tape running length in accordance with the stopping position signal. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of a pilot signal PL is detected at a track discriminating circuit 44 and a stopping track is discriminated. A local pilot signal selecting circuit 45 selects a signal of a desired frequency from a pilot signal generated by a pilot signal generating circuit 9 in accordance with the track discriminating signal and sends the selecting signal to a mixer circuit 30 through a switch 43 as a local pilot signal F, and then, forms a tracking error signal TR through a tracking error circuit 22. On the other hand, a differential voltage signal T corresponding to the stoppping position of a tape from the differential amplifier 35 of the circuit 22 becomes a stopping position signal PE by a integrating circuit 24 and controls the next tape running length through a sample holding circuit 25 and a pulse width converting circuit 26. By the control of the next tape running length, the noiseless still picture reproduction and noiseless slow reproduction are performed.</p> |
