PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a system which is applied with binary coding by compensating a comparison voltage corresponding to a picture signal level so that the level difference is within a specific range, and employing digital technique for the compensation processing. CONSTITUTION:The comparison voltage is so generated that the gradation difference between picture signal levels from analog comparators 8-15 and the comparison voltage level is between ''1'' and ''2''. The comparison voltage is inputted to a priority encoder 23, which codes its level into a binary value and outputs it to terminals A0-A2. A digital comparator 24 inputs the binary-coded signal of the picture signal level from a priority encoder 22 and the binary-coded signal of the comparison voltage level from the priority encoder 23 to compare them with each other, thus obtaining a binary-coded output. |
