PURPOSE:To reduce required space and eliminate the need for a rotary sealing section so as to make an automatic clutch compact by adjusting the input rotary speed signal oil pressure detected by means of a pitot tube to the start pressure by means of a starting valve and supplying it. CONSTITUTION:While a vehicle is starting, the force of a sring 208, the start adjusting pressure that is actuated on the area difference between lands 206b and 206c and the start pressure that is actuated on a land 206a are applied rightward and the engine speed signal oil pressure that is actuated on the area difference between the lands 206c and 206d is applied leftward to the spool 206 of a starting valve 116. Since the spring pressure and the start adjusting pressure are maintained constant, the start pressure is controlled so as to be counterbalanced by the engine speed signal pressure. When the start pressure is supplied to a clutch 36 for advance through a manual valve 104 and the engine speed exceeds the preset one, the clutch is engaged smoothly. That is, the need for a centrifugal valve and a rotary seal that require large space can be eliminated by adjusting the oil pressure detected by means of a low pressure pitot tube with a little amount of oil. |
