PURPOSE:To secure a head clearance, and increase a distance between a seal member and a hinge to improve sealability, by pivotally mounting a rear window glass of a back door through a hinge at a front side portion of a rear header for mounting the back door thereto. CONSTITUTION:A fixing bracket 12 of a hinge 11 of a back door 3 is fixedly mounted through a roof member 8 to a front side portion of a rear header 4. Accordingly, a rear side portion of the rear header 4 opposed to a passenger's head on a rear seat is not projected downwardly, that is, a portion as shown by a chain line A may be omitted, thereby securing a head clearance for the passenger on the rear seat. On the other hand, although the front side portion of the rear header 4 is projected downwardly, it occupies a dead space at an upper front position of the passenger on the rear seat, resulting in no interference. Further, as an increased distance between the hinge 11 and a weather strip 9 is provided, the weather strip is securely attached to the lower surface of a rear window glass 10 upon closing the back door 3, thereby improving sealability. |
