PURPOSE:To realize a digital record reproducing device having an excellent operability, by detecting that the reproducing system of a PCM processor which processes the reproduced output of a VTR cannot make normal work, and monitoring the reproduced output with a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:A reproduction processing circuit 28 sets its output terminal Cm to a low level under a condition when the circuit 28 cannot make normal processing operation on an input signal and makes muting circuits 33 and 34 to work. When a VTR23 is set to the reproducing condition and a magnetic tape is mounted, the processing circuit 28 cannot make its processing operation. The reproduced output signal of the VTR23 cannot be monitored even on the picture of a TV receiver 41 under a condition where the output terminal VIDEO-OUT of the VTR23 and input terminal VIDEO-INM of the TV receiver 41 are connected with each other. As a result, a digital record reproducing device which shows an extremely excellent operability can be realized. |
