PURPOSE:To keep a spring load characteristic in optimum conditions irrespective of the height of a car level, by setting a variation in capacity inside a chamber to the extent that does not affect a spring constant with the operation of a helper position adjusting cylinder, in case of an air suspension capable of controlling the car level in an automated manner. CONSTITUTION:When a car comes into such a driving state that should raise a car level yet higher, a sensor emits a signal whereby air is fed to an air chamber 4, then a rod 3 is extended in length, coming into the state of a high car level. This setting takes place by a car-level sensor 12 consisting of a driving magnet 12a and a magnetic sensor switch 12b installed in a cylinder 2. When the said signal for raising the car level is emitted, a helper position sensor 11 is changed over and hydraulic pressure is fed to a cylinder part 92 whereby a piston part 92 goes down, causing a driving magnet 11a to stop at a position opposite to the low position setting part of a magnetic sensor switch 11b, and a helper 8 goes down as far as a portion for the extension of the rod 3, so that a relational position between the helper 8 and the cylinder 2 is kept almost equal to that in time of the car level being low. In this case, an increment portion for air capacity is cancelled by a portion for the descent of the piston part 92. |
