PURPOSE:To make a key operation for reinput unnecessary by converting character data inputted by an operation error of a shift key to character data of other character kind. CONSTITUTION:In case when a ''KANA'' (Japanese syllabary) character is inputted by an operation of a character key I, said character is keyed and inputted in a state that a device is in an alphabet shift mode, alphabet data is inputted to a buffer 8. In this case, when an operator depresses a ''KANA'' converting key K, a signal 1 is set to a register 5, a discriminating part 7 detects ''1'' and generates a control signal. As a result, the alphabet data in the buffer 8 is converted to ''KANA'' character data by a converting part 10, and is stored in the buffer 8 again. Subsequently, when the operator depresses an enter key E, a write part 11 is started, the ''KANA'' character data in the buffer 8 is transferred to an input memory 12, and the input operation is completed. |
