<p>PURPOSE:To perform desired accurate variable density display and to obtain a print having good smoothness, by constituting a plurality of heat generating resistors so as to arrange the same at equal intervals in a main scanning direction and repeatedly arranging the heat generating parts of adjacent heat generating resistors in a plurality of units so as to provide constant intervals in a sub-scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:In a pair of electrode groups successively arranged in a sub-scanning direction in parallel, heat generating resistors 13a-13d are connected between electrode parts 11a-11d and electrode parts 12a-12d. Heat generating parts 14a-14d are arranged in the sub-scanning direction so as to form plural rows, for example, two rows and alternately positioned on every other heat generating part so as to be different by a position of a length (l). A predetermined signal current is made to flow to the heat generating resistors 13a-13d and, after printing is performed by the heat generating parts 14a-14d, the heat generating resistors are moved by the row interval (l) of the heat generating parts to perform the same printing in the next time. Hereupon, a print having density proportional to the quantity of a current having flowed to the heat generating resistors 13a-13d is obtained and accurate variable density expression can be performed.</p> |
