A method of manufacturing a plastic grid is performed by heating a sheet 5 of thermoplastic material and pressure or vacuum forming this over a corrugated mould 1, 2, in which one or more reinforcing elements 4 are fed transversely to the corrugations 2, the said elements in the pressure or vacuum forming being included in the plastic, following which the formed sheet is cooled and cut 6 so that the corrugation crests 8 on one side of the sheet are cut away, without the reinforcing elements 4 being cut free or being touched at all by the cutting tool. All the corrugations are equal in size and parallel to one another, the corrugations being formed at uniform intervals from one another and the reinforcing elements 4 being fitted at right angles to the corrugations. The invention also relates to a mould for use in performing the method. With the invention it is possible both to form the grid and to embed the necessary reinforcement in one forming operation. If it is not already to the correct size, the grid sheet can then be cut out in any desired shape or size. <IMAGE>
