PURPOSE:To prevent a form shifting from a transfer positioln during transfer by providing a means which detect the arrival of cut paper between a form tray which houses the sheets of cut paper and the position where a latent image formed on a photoreceptor by a light beam is transferred to the cut paper, and starting the orradiation of the light beam in response to a detection signal. CONSTITUTION:The distance b' from the point B' where a photosensor 3 is provided on a cut paper conveyance path to the transfer position C is equalized to the distance (b) from a light beam irradiation point B on the photosensitive drum 1 to the transfer position C, and the sensor 3 detects the front end of the cut paper reaching the point B' and generates a control signal which allows a light beam generator 4 to start irradiation. Further, the peripheral surface speed of the photosensitive drum 1 is equal to the conveyance speed of cut paper. Therefore, the cut paper is fed out of the paper feed tray 2 and when it reaches the point B', the photosensor 3 detects the arrival to generate the light beam L, so that the irradiation start point of the light beam L on the photosensitive drum 1 and the front end of the cut paper reach the transfer position C at the same time. |
