PURPOSE:To obtain a DNA containing one or more of a gene having surface antigen structure of a hepatitis B adr virus, a gene capable of coding a surface anigen precursor and a gene of core antigen structure, particularly recombinant DNA, its preparation and a transformant having the same. CONSTITUTION:A recombinant DNA, containing one or more of a gene having a hepatitis B adr viral surface antigen structure which is a base sequence indicated as 155-835 base sequence order in the figure or a fragment thereof, a gene capable of coding the precursor for the above-mentioned viral surface antigen and a gene having the above-mentioned core antigen structure, and obtained by forming a double stranded DNA and a vector DNA from a sungle stranded Dane particle DNA of the hepatitis B adr virus by the DNA synthetic reaction, cleaving respectively the double stranded DNA and vector DNA with restriction enzymes, and mixing the cleaved fragments to insert the resultant fragments between the cleaved sites of the vector DNA. |
