The invention relates to a connector and the method employed for its manufacture. The contact elements, arranged in rows in the plastic body of the connector, are obtained by bending small sheet-metal strips 10, so that their part 10' has a plane of symmetry z-z parallel to the longitudinal direction of the strip from which they are cut out. The bending edges 10s, bent through an angle of 90 DEG , are parallel to the plane z-z. This configuration permits fixing, by interlocking, improving the contact, of the elastic branches 10d by means of the relatively long positioning branches 10b', and a simultaneous insertion of the combined contact elements into the plastic body, with respective distances in accordance with the standards. <IMAGE> |
