PURPOSE:To perform transmission/reception of data, etc. between terminals in a transparent way, by applying no work at all to the data, etc. sent from the terminal at a conversion part, and transmitting the data, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the data flows in the direction of a dotted line, a general- purpose protocol 1 of the transmission side receives the transmission control characters and data from a terminal and transmits the signal of a format (a) to a conversion part 2. The part 2 converts the signal of the format (a) into a signal of a format (b) of a ring bus protocol to transmit it to a ring bus 3. This signal is received at the corresponding node and then at a conversion part 2' as a signal of a format (c). After the protocol control is executed between the parts 2 and 2', only the area related to the general-purpose protocol is extracted out of the format (c). Then the signal of a format (d) is transmitted to a protocol part 1'. The part 1' transmits the transmission control characters and data to the terminal. |
