PURPOSE:To enable the operation of an electromagnetic clutch to be stopped instantly by reducing current supply to a field core while fusing a temperature fuse when any abnormalities occur in a compressor. CONSTITUTION:When any abnormalities occur in a compressor, dust is included in a gap between a front side plate 7 and a rear side plate 8 so that a rotor 5 and the slide plates bring about a completely metallic contact condition. As a result, both side plates 7, 8 produce abnormal wear. When the wear develops until an end of an electrode switch 10 contacts the rotor 5, a lot of current flow to the electrode switch 10 in an electric circuit to cut off a temperature fuse 12 so that the operation of an electromagnetic clutch can be stopped instantly. |
