PURPOSE:To provide a metallic color ink for marking pens which forms ink films showing a mixed metallic color, by incorporating aluminum powder, colorants, modified silicone oils, resins, and org. solvents for said resins. CONSTITUTION:A metallic color ink contg. aluminum powder, colorants, resins, modified silicone oils, and org. solvents dissolving said resins. Solvent dyes or org. pigments with a minute particle size are used as colorants. The action of said colorants is to form a clear colored layer on a deposit layer of aluminum powder in ink films, and therefore the use of inorg. pigments with high hiding power or org. pigments with a relatively large particle size is undesirable. Consequently, org. pigments such as insoluble azo pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, or thioindigo pigments are used. These colorants are used in a range of 0.5- 20pts.wt. in ink compsns. |
