PURPOSE:To obtain a purge type liquid level gage, which can perform the stable measurement of a liquid level, by detecting the blocking at the tip of a dip tube before the effect on the measurement occurs. CONSTITUTION:A constant and minute amount of a purge gas is supplied to a first dip tube 103 and a second tip tube 104, respectively. At this time, a closing and opening valve 113 is opened, and a closing and opening valve 116 is closed. A differential pressure gage 117 detects the back pressures of the first dip tube 103 and the second dip tube 104 at this time, and computes the differential pressure. The differential pressure corresponds to the head of a fluid to be measured 102, which is received by the tip of the second dip tube 104. The differential pressure is recorded in a recorder 118. Then the closing and opening valve 113 is opened and the closing and opening valve 116 is opened. Then, a large and constant amount of the purge gas is supplied to the second dip tube 104 from a purge set 115. |
