PURPOSE:To realize low-cost compact constitution without using a heater or a safety fuse, etc., and to improve start-up character characteristics by utilizing the self-heating of a fluorescent lamp, and turning on the fluorescent lamp to its full power except during exposing operation and raising the temperature to specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:An exposing device 2 is provided under contact glass 1 where an original is set and this exposing device 2 is constituted by arranging two fluorescent lamps 4 in a light leak preventive case 3. The fluorescent lamps 4 are an aperture type; an aperture 5 is formed in an original surface direction, a fluorescent material 6 is applied over a tube wall part except the aperture 5, and a thermistor 7 as a temperature detector is fitted to the external wall part of the fluorescent material 6. The original on the contact glass 1 is exposed and lighted by those fluorescent lamps 4 and its reflected light is image-formed on a photosensitive body through a convergent optical transmitter, e.g. a SELFOC lens array 9. The light leak preventive case 3 is formed of a light reflecting member and then the tube wall temperature of the fluorescent lamps 4 rises quickly. Then, the temperature of the fluorescent lamps 4 is controlled by a turn-on control circuit. |
