The invention relates to a lifting and tipping device for bulk containers, in which the swivel movement for the actual supporting frame for the bulk container is not achieved by guiding it along an arcuate guide-path but by means of an element on the guide-path which is arranged on a straight line and is capable of being swung out, and the swivel movement of this element is constrained by the upwardly and downwardly movable supporting frame.
