Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) can be obtained from CEA-containing perchloric acid extracts by removing proteins of higher molecular weight by gel filtration, selecting the proteins with CEA antigenicity from the eluate by immunoadsorption and fractionation by liquid chromatography on high-resolution columns. It is suitable for the preparation of diagnostic aids. |
