PURPOSE:To eliminate the oppressive feeling in installation of a seat belt by controlling a belt taking-up motor by a slick sensor for detecting the movement of a slip joint which is caused by the slack of the belt and a buckle installation sensor. CONSTITUTION:A motor is installed ontoa retractor of a seat belt 12, which is taken-up by the drive of the motor. A slip joint 40 through which the belt 12 is passed is made rotatable by a bolt 44, and a coil spring 60 operates to return the slip joint 40 to the position shown in the figure. At the position shown in the figure where a belt tension does not act, contacts 71 and 72 are bought into conduction to constitute a slick sensor 70. An installation sensor 52 is installed onto a buckle 50, and the motor is controlled by the both sensors. When a slack is generated on the belt, the motor is driven to take-up the belt. Therefore, a drive is free from oppressive feeling, and the protection performance is not reduced. |
