A filter for a camera, comprises an ultraviolet ray absorbing filter member including a substrate (1) and an evaporation film (2) which transmits the blue light as well as the green light and sharply cuts one portion of the red light from 640 nm to 700 nm in the range of a wavelength showing a transmission factor of 50%. The evaporation film is formed on one surface of the substrate and the filter is fitted to a frame (4) which is attachable to or detachable from said camera.
