A logical circuit, and a partial realization thereof (Fig. 4, not shown), is described for selecting the :operating mode :of a. digital store and is characterized in that a :display mode is automatically selected at the termination of every other mode and before a further non- display mode is selected. As described, three bi-stable devices 4, 5, 6, Fig. 2, each cause, when " on," the store to operate in a particular mode, and a fourth bi-stable device 10, when " on," causes the store to operate in a display mode. When, at the termination of a mode of operation selected by one of the three bistable devices 4, 5, 6 (and this can be caused either manually or automatically) all three bi-stable devices 4, 5, 6 go " off and, as a result, the display mode bi-stable device 10 is turned " on " via gates 11, 12. The display mode bi-stable device 10 when " on also opens three gates 7, 8, 9 so that a further non-display mode bi-stable device 4, 5 or 6 can be turned " on." |
