PURPOSE:To aim at making improvements in the productivity of metalworking, by performing the positioning of a cutting tool without changing any one even if the size of each workpiece (pipes, etc.) is altered. CONSTITUTION:A chaser block 10 is secured tight to a master slide 30 with bolts 34 and 34a via a clamp plate 12, threading a pipe P by a turning 16 and a chaser 17. When the pipe P is altered in size, these bolts are loosened to some extent and, after making a pin go up by means of a screw, the chaser block 10 is made to slide along a groove 31 of the master slide 30. Positioning of the chaser block 10 is carried out in a way of inserting the pin into a pin receiving hole of the master slide 30 corresponding to the size of the pipe P and then clamped with bolts. |
