A percussion fuse which is arranged as a unit in the interior of the grenade comprises a front fixed percussion fuse portion (10) and a displaceable percussion fuse portion (13) which is initially locked at a spacing in a secured position and which moves forwardly by virtue of its inertia during flight. The portion (13) is guided in a sleeve (9) provided with guide track means (14), premature actuation being prevented by chicane means (15). In an active position, just before impact, the displaceable percussion fuse portion (13) is held at a very short residual distance from the fixed portion (10) by an abutment (33) which can be overcome with the smallest possible loss of energy. The abutment (33) is formed by a thin separating wall, for example a plastics or paper membrane. The grenade may be a fragmentation, non-fragmentation, tear gas or incendiary grenade. <IMAGE> |
