UNITIZED OIL SEALS

A unitized oil seal assembly having inner and outer mounting assemblies and, associated with one of the assemblies, a primary seal lip unit, and with the other assembly, a cooperating seal surface. The inner and outer mounting assemblies each have means for secondarily sealing an associated part of a mechanism to be sealed. The unit further includes cooperative means for unitizing the seal against undesired axial movement of the mounting assemblies relative to each other so as to maintain the seal lip and the cooperating surface in axially aligned relation.
