<p>: The present invention relates to a structure for enhancing the performance of a helicopter rotor. The structure is comprised of an annular airfoil having a central opening with a diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the rotor. A structure is provided supporting the airfoil such that the opening is coaxial with the rotor and in a plane essentially parallel to the plane of the rotor for capturing vortices produced in the wash of the rotor.</p> |
