PURPOSE:To give the token using right to a station having the highest priority, by having intentionally a partial superposition between a token to be sent out to a U-shaped transmission line and a message which is under transmission. CONSTITUTION:A token 1 transmitted from a transmitter T at a time point 0 is transmitted to the right from the left on a transmission exclusive line OB. A station Si confirms the token 1 on the line OB at a time point t1 and transmits immediately a message onto the line OB since a transmission request is given to own station. A station Sj confirms the token 1 at a time point t2 to transmit a message immediately and at the same time observes the line OB to detect a collision between the message sent from the station Si and the message of its own at a time point t3. Thus the station Sj discontinues immediately the transmission of its own. While the station Si detects no collision within a time for delay of transmission between stations and therefore can continue the transmission of the message. |
