PURPOSE:To prevent the burning of a magnet despite of a fault of an instruction system for a portable data input/output device from numerical control, by applying the control signal to the magnet of a print head only in a normal print mode. CONSTITUTION:A switch control circuit 6cf of a gate circuit 6ce turns off all switches after the time equivalent to the 1-row print elapses. Therefore no control signal is applied thereafter to magnets M00-M06. If an instruction system has a fault after the printing is through with a row, the control signal is produced from a register 6cd to turn on all magnets M00-M06. Even in such a case, the switch is never turned on unless a set signal is applied to the circuit 6ce. Thus no voltage is applied to the magnets M00-M06, so that the burning of the switch is prevented. |
