PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent cracks in elements in hot pressure welding process by a method wherein material with some rigidity is fixed secure by using an adhesive on the rear side of a battery element and the element is located between two sheets of thermoplastic resin prior to the heat contact bonding process. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of battery elements 3 are serially connected by leads 5, a layer of thermosetting epoxy resin is applied onto the rear side of each of the battery elements 3, and the resin 6 is dried and hardened at 100 deg.C. In the following process, the element 3 is installed between sheets of a polyvinyl butyral resin, and a lamination of covering glass 1, polyvinyl butyral resin sheeting, elements 3, and sheets 4 is housed in a vacuum bag for contact bonding and is kept for ten minutes at room temperature under zero pressure. With the pressure kept at zero in the bag, temperature is elevated, and the lamination is kept for a period 30-60min at temperatures 120-140 deg.C. The temperature is then caused to fall as low as 50 deg.C and the pressure inside the bag to rise to the standard atmospheric pressure level. The solar battery module is then taken out of the bag, periphery thereof sealed and reinforced, for a module with its endurance improved. |
