PURPOSE:To ensure an effective application of a memory region with use of a control instruction to an existing external storage device, by regarding some memory region as an external storage device and setting an independent memory control mechanism within an external storage control part. CONSTITUTION:A memory control part 2 and an external storage control part 3 are connected to a CPU1 which controls the execution of a computer device. At the same time, a basic memory 4 and an extended memory 5 are connected to the part 2. Here the memory 4 contains a program region that is required at minimum for control of the computer and a memory region that is sufficient to secure a data region. While the memory 5 covers the entire memory region of the computer excepting for the memory 4. The part 3 controls an external storage device 6 which is capable of writing and reading of data. The device 6 is connected to the part 3, and at the same time the part 3 is connected to the memory 5. Then the memory 5 is controlled by the part 3. |
