PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a developing rotating body by providing a shutter for protecting the developing rotary body, and constituting so that the shutter is opened when a developing device is installed to a body, and the shutter is closed when said device is detached from the body. CONSTITUTION:When drawing out a developing device in the direction A from a copier body, a roll 7 is rotated by engagement of a groove cam 7a provided on the roll and a guide 8 fitted to the body. The rotation of the roll 7 is transmitted to a rotary shaft 16 by a pulley 9, a wire 10, a pulley 11 and gears 12, 14, and a shutter 2 is rotated in the direction B and is closed automatically. When inserting the developing device, the shutter 2 is rotated in the opposite direction and is opened automatically. In this regard, a spring 15 draws a disk 20 by the upper side of its shaft and fixes the shutter in an opened state when the shutter 2 is opened, and draws the disk 20 by the lower side of its shaft and fixes the shutter 2 in a closed state when the shutter 2 is closed. In this way, damage of a developing rotary body is prevented. |
