This invention relates to an improvement of the adhesion of brass-coated steel tire cord to a vulcanized rubber ???sition. The adhesion is obtained by adding an aromatic triazole and an organo cobalt compound to an unvulcanized rubber compound in order to obtain metal-rubber bonding when vulcanized. Tires formed by the above process have good resistance to heat and moisture.
